Breakfast Club

I am delighted to be able to offer a breakfast club for children to attend prior to the school day between the hours of 8:00 - 8:40. This provision provides children with a healthy start to their day but also one that is educational and enjoyable.

Research shows that a good breakfast can help improve children’s reading, writing and maths performance. Reports also conclude that breakfasts high in protein and fibre, and low in sugar, helps to boost children’s attention span, concentration and memory - all essential factors in improving a child’s academic performance.

The club is designed to help children prepare for the day within a stimulating environment – one which provides great opportunities for;

·social interaction between a varied range of peers

·a range of creative and educational activities resulting in additional opportunities for learning outside of the normal school day

·an opportunity for the children to receive additional help with their homework and reading

·a range of healthy choices for breakfast including some themed mornings.

The cost of breakfast club is £3.00 per day however if your child is in receipt of a Pupil Premium Grant, this amount can be deducted from their allocated funding.

If you are interested in applying for a place for your child, please return the relevant letter to the school office. Paper copies are available on request.
