Year 6 Maths Learning and Activities

In school, we use and adapt the White Rose schemes of learning for our pupils. To support Home Learning, the White Rose Maths Team has prepared a series of maths lessons for each year group from Year 1-8. They will be adding five more each week for the next few weeks. Every lesson comes with a short video showing you clearly and simply how to help your child and then there’s an activity (with answers) to complete.

To use the lessons, just follow these easy steps…

  • Go to: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/
  • Click on the set of lessons for your child’s year group (you can choose a different year group if you need something easier or harder)
  • Watch the video (either on your own or with your child).
  • Find a space where your child can work for about 20-30 minutes.
  • Use the video guidance to support your child as they work through a lesson

You should start with Week 1 and work through the weeks and lessons systematically.

SUPPORTING MORE ABLE MATHEMATICIANS:

White Rose have a selection of reasoning and problem solving resources aimed at more able pupils. 'Problem of the Day' is well worth a look at!

These resources can be found at:
